The area corresponds roughly to River Lot 5, the land granted to the University by the Province in 1908: to the north is the valley of the North Saskatechewan River, to the south is University Avenue; the western boundary of the campus is 116 Street and the eastern boundary is now 111 Street (HUB Mall runs along what was 112 Street).
